OF THE NATURE

Bees appeared on Earth 100 million years ago  and 6,000 years ago man discovered them. Venerated by the ancient Egyptians as tears of Ra, the Sun god; their work gives us natural treasures: honey, food of the gods of Olympus; and the wax of its honeycombs, a sacred symbol of Christianity as the body of Christ in the Laus Cerei.

The survival of most living beings depends on bees. About 75% of the food we eat and 90% of wild plants depend on their pollination. For this reason, EarthWatch, at the Royal Geographical Society of London, has declared the bee as the most important living being on the planet.  At Mellifera we work for return their bee populations to the mountains. Our apiaries are located   at more than 1,000 m of altitude, in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Where we take care of each step of the production so that it is sustainable and offer a unique product of high quality. EITHERwe offer honey, natural bresca and pure beeswax candles; authentic and natural products with the utmost respect for this small, but vital, honey artist insect.

Save the bees!

In order to revalue the environmental role of mountain beekeeping that favors pollination in ecosystems, we allocate 5% of the annual profit to the installation of special hives for wild bees.
